ON SET: Maternity Shoot BTS w/ Chelsea & The Photo Firm
I’m excited to share with you all the behind the scenes of a recent maternity shoot where I was invited to be the hair stylist on-set! In October of 2020, mommy-to-be, Chelsea, teamed up with the visionary, Tanya Rawlings, of The Photo Firm, to execute these Beyonce: Black Is King/Wakanda inspired maternity pictures. I just threw all that together because that’s what she was serving y’all!
I installed Chelsea’s high ponytail with loose goddess pieces to give some bohemian vibes. Midway through the shoot, we removed her ponytail, braided down her natural curls, and then installed her curly afro wig from @CityGirlCurlz. We pulled forward a crown piece, trimmed a bang, and then shaped the wig to Chelsea’s face.
This shoot was so much fun! We were playing Beyonce’s music THE WHOLE TIME (my kinda situation), dancing, wardrobe changing, and seeing Chelsea enjoy her pregnancy with a huge smile! The photographer and her daughter are simply a dynamic duo who truly love what they do. #ThePhotoFirm
